En dépit de ses propres règlements, le MPO a fait fi d’une évaluation environnementale et a permis le dragage du lac Shuswap, ce qui a remué les contaminants.

Représentations :
One of the first things that dfo done many years ago was to bring in laws through the fisheries act to stop any dredging that would harm fish habitat. The fisheries did not make for their own staff to ignore them in self interests as it seems that way when they allow dredging outside of the windows allowed for dredging.This is a known practice on the shuswap lake where they allow dredging while ignoring an environmantal assessment and stur up contamination.
