The public has a right to see the evidence and hear the testimony at this hearing, otherwise, there is a suspicion of government suppression of the truth for trade purposes.
This important democratic principle has kept our courts valuable and viable. The long-term health of the environment, including future coastal income opportunities, is more important than, yes even, the current economic strength of a single industry.
