Summary:
It is hard to remain optimistic about the chances of the survival of wild salmon because of fish farms and political interference.

Submission:
I am not going to spend too long on this as I don’t really think it will do any good, given the record so far on the actions politicians and their officials have taken to protect our wild salmon. Scientists that work for the government are being co-opted and coerced by their bosses. Policies are based on salmon farm lobbyists not on science and reputable international labs. People like us who are out there in gumboots working to bring back the wild salmon streams might as well give up. There will be no wild salmon to use them. I am very disappointed. It is hard to remain optimistic about the chances of the survival of the salmon or our planet.
