Public Submissions
The Cohen Commission invites members of the public to make written submissions on the subject matter of the inquiry. Submissions are reviewed by commission staff, and may be considered by the Commissioner.
To make a submission online please click on Make a submission. Alternatively, to make a submission by email, fax or mail, view our Contact Us page. Submissions must be relevant to the inquiry’s Terms of Reference. Submissions that are not relevant, or are otherwise inappropriate, may not be considered.
Submissions received by the commission are summarized and may be posted to the commission’s website along with the author’s name, city and the date that the submission was made. The information provided may be used by the Commissioner in the inquiry and may be included in the commission’s reports.
Unless provided by the submitter, commission staff assign keywords to each submission for search purposes. To view the submissions received to date, click on View submissions.
To ensure your submission receives the full and careful consideration of the Commissioner and commission staff, please be concise, clearly identify any recommendations you are making and provide an executive summary if your submission is longer than five pages.
The commission accepts submissions in either English or French. Submissions are displayed on the commission’s website in their original language, and summaries of submissions are translated and available in both English and French.
The commission has reopened public submissions until the end of added evidentiary hearings to deal with new information on disease testing. Submission will now close at 5 pm PT on the last date of those added hearings in December 2011.
